I live locally and have only rarely used it as the food can be very ordinary. Actually stopped going there after two successive visits with really poor portions of chips. Thought that the first time was just an unfortunate mistake.
Tried it again last night. First time in a while. Chips were grand, portion size still a bit scabby but not as bad. Fresh cod was poor, battered ok but fish inside was dry and tasteless.
Also got onion rings. Oh my God, they have to be the worst thing I have ever eaten from a chipper. Basically a thick wedge of an onion battered, disgusting. Why mess with the easiest, highest profit food going? Break up the onion, batter them and fry, like a normal chipper!
Only positive I'd say is the staff, they are friendly and the wait wasn't too bad for a Friday evening.
I won't be rushing back.

Staff are lovely. Didn’t get some of my food that I paid for. Onion rings very disappointing. Chicken and donor meat in kebabs was tiny couldn’t taste very much of the flavour. Very disappointing.
Got a battered sausage and chip..
Scabby portion of chips and the few full chips that were in it were not cooked properly.
Battered sausage was poxy and smelt like a pigs armpit
